Heart and circulatory disease claims around 200,000 lives each year. Many of those lives could have been saved with an automated external defibrillator (AED). This very practical course enables people to learn to use the AED competently and with confidence. Whether you're a business looking to train staff or you're an individual with first aid responsibilities, why not add this to your first aid skills? Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are now becoming more common throughout a range of public and work places. A casualty’s survival rate will dramatically increase if an AED is available and if you have appropriately qualified personnel to use it.
This 1 day course covers the use of an AED and includes vital training in resuscitation and choking procedures. Learning activities include theory and practical sessions. Subjects covered include:
Responsibilities and reporting
Assessment of a situation

The training meet HSE requirements and on satisfactory completion, candidates will receive a HABC Level 2 certificate, valid for 3 years.
