Are your staff First Aid Trained to cope with an emergency at work? To comply with current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, all organisations must carry out a First Aid Needs Assessment as part of their duty of care. That assessment may require First Aiders at Work to be appointed. To help fulfil that need, this 3 day course will provide your First Aiders with all the First Aid Knowledge required to help keep your staff safe.
This course covers the aims of First Aid, management of unconscious casualties, resuscitation, control of bleeding, burns & scalds, fractures, dislocations, sprains & strains, eye injuries, poisons, recognition and treatment of illness, transportation of casualties, record keeping and contents of First Aid boxes. The training is mainly a hands on training course with practical assessment on Recovery Position, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and casualty with injuries.
On completion, all candidates attending the full training will receive HABC certificates to show that they are qualified First Aiders in the Workplace. The qualification lasts for three years and can be revalidated by attending a 2 day First Aid at Work Refresher Training.
